Gilead Vintage Boutique
Announcing the premier of the
Gilead Vintage Boutique at the Flea Market on May 31.
We'd love donations of items in very good to excellent condition. The type of
items you'd be proud to use in your home or give as a gift.
We all have things
that we aren't using, but might really be appreciated in another home. Examples
of the type of items we could sell are: that extra serving piece you
have, appropriate DVDs and VHSs, and good quality costume or fine jewelry.
This is certainly not an exhaustive list. Furniture can be difficult to handle, so
please check with Alice DuBon or Ann Rand before you bring furniture or a large
appliance.
We are imploring folks not to bring clothes of any kind including shoes, stuffed
animals, or chipped, dented, dirty, broken or nonworking items. Also please do
not bring anything that is incomplete: puzzles, used arts and/or crafts sets, sets
of dishes, or games. Unfortunately, things not deemed to be saleable will have
to be discarded. |

Broadway by the Lake
On Sunday, Aug. 24th at 8:00 pm, stars from the Broadway stage will be performong under Gilead's tent overlooking Lake Gleneida.
Tickets for seats under the tent are $20.00. Lawn seats will be sold the night of the performance for $5.00. Proceeds go to pay for Gilead's Christian Arts Camp. Call 845-225-4586 for more information.

Presbyterian Church Responds to Disasters
The Presbyterian Church (USA) has issued a statement in response to the natural disasters that have struck China, Myanmar (Burma), and parts of the U.S. The PCUSA is actively assisting in providing relief to these areas through Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA).
You can help in this effort through your financial donations. You can either give a check to Gilead with the notation "Disaster Relief" or directly to PDA.

Got Ink Cartridges?
 If you have any used ink cartridges, please bring them to the church in a plastic baggie. All cartridges will be recycled, with the church receiving $4 for each of certain brands.

Food Pantry Update
Gilead's Food  Pantry's shelves are getting bare. An increasing number of local residents are needing its services - around 200 adults and children each month.
Particularly Needed: canned tuna, chile, stew, fruit, soups, fruit juice, pancake mix, syrup, and pasta.
