Children's
Choirs |
|
There are four children's choirs at Gilead:
The Music Makers, affectionately known as the "M & M's", is our youngest group, including toddlers through age 5. Under the direction of Arlene Pantoja, they sing at our Sunday morning service once a month. They rehearse after service. |

The Praise Singers includes children from the 1st through 4th grade. They are directed by Mary Temple and sing once each month during our Sunday morning service. Their rehearsals are held after services. |
|
The Junior Choir is the group for our oldest children, those in 5th grade and above. Pablo Pantoja and Julie Stan direct this group, which praises the Lord during Sunday Service once a month. They also rehearse following services.

| The Junior Bell Choir includes those children in the fifth grade and above. They share their talents once a month during Sunday worship. They are under the direction of Mary Temple. Their reheasal times vary. |

Vendors Wanted
Gilead's annual Flea Market will be held on Saturday, May 31 from 9:00 to

Post Office Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive
The annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, sponsored by the U.S. Postal Service, was held Sat, May 10th. Gilead's Food Pantry was given a generous portion of the donations received by the Carmel Post Office.
Thanks to everyone involved and a special thanks to all the Carmel postal workers who picked up the donations!

Serious Mental Illness Awareness Month
May is Serious Mental Illness Awareness Month in the Presbyterian Church.
Please help support those in our community with psychiatric disorders by
bringing in new and/or gently used DVDs, to be donated to the patients on Reed
4, Putnam Hospital Center's in-patient mental health unit.
A donation bin is in the lounge. Thank you!

Got Ink Cartridges?
If you have any used ink cartridges, please bring them to the church in a plastic baggie. All cartridges will be recycled, with the church receiving $4 for each of certain brands.

Food Pantry Update
Gilead's Food Pantry's shelves are getting bare. An increasing number of local residents are needing its services - around 200 adults and children each month.
Particularly Needed: canned tuna, chile, stew, fruit, soups, fruit juice, pancake mix, syrup, and pasta.
